And the winner is…
Todd Loewen!
Last week, we asked our followers across our social medial platforms to vote for Alberta’s Dinosaur of the Year 2025. We created this “award” to determine the province’s absolute WORST in environmentalism and conservation, someone whose attitude towards protecting Alberta’s wilderness is still stuck in prehistoric times.
Todd Loewen easily claimed top spot, taking just over half the votes. Congratulations, Todd — Albertans have spoken, and they think you’ve done the worst for our province’s wild spaces and species this year.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the results:
-Brian Jean = 5.0%
-Todd Loewen *WINNER* = 51.8%
-Rebecca Schulz = 2.1%
-Danielle Smith = 34.0%
-All of the above (write-in candidate) = 5.0%
-Rob Morgan (write-in candidate) = 2.1%
