Alberta Wilderness Association submitted feedback on the Draft Wood Bison Recovery Plan as part of the public engagement process initiated by the Ministry of Environment and Protected Areas on March 11, 2026.
In our submission, we emphasize the urgent need for strong, enforceable habitat protections to support the recovery of Threatened wood bison populations, particularly those at greatest risk of extirpation.
