AWA comments on proposed listings under SARA

The Species at Risk Act (SARA) provides protections for species listed under the Schedule of the Act. Recent changes to the listing of several Alberta species have been proposed, and are open for public consultation. The proposed changes, as well as AWA’s response to these changes is provided below:
- Snowy Owl (list as Threatened)
- Short-billed Dowitcher (list as Threatened)
- Macropis Cuckoo Bee (remove from SARA)
