Adventure for Wilderness – Hiking Lesueur Ridge
with Heinz Unger
May 23, 2026, 10:00 a.m.
Location: Lesueur Ridge (exact location will be emailed to registered participants a few days before)
Difficulty: Moderate, ~9km of hiking with 350m elevation gain. There are some quite steep sections.
Come with us to walk between early spring wildflowers and greening aspens, and enjoy views of the snow-covered Rockies between towering Douglas firs. We will hope to see the usual spring meadow flowers, admire some old Douglas firs (rare in the foothills), and pick out some distant peaks of the Rockies in Banff National Park. Enjoy a hike with a relatively short approach from Calgary.
